Empowering Saudi Damah Pharmacy with eXerterp

Unified ERP for Retail Pharma Excellence: The Saudi Damah Pharmacy Transformation
Saudi Damah Pharmacy, a leading retail pharmaceutical network based in Riyadh, was experiencing operational fragmentation across finance, supply chain, HR, and retail outlets. With rapid growth and increasing compliance obligations in Saudi Arabia, the organization recognized the need for a unified enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. They partnered with Maiprosoft to implement eXerterp — a cloud-based ERP platform designed to streamline multi-location pharmacy operations, drive workforce efficiency, and improve financial transparency. To address these critical needs, ASSA ABLOY partnered with Maiprosoft to implement a tailored ERP solution — eXerterp — that could unify operations, ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, and drive operational excellence. The project involved the deployment of eXert FAS (Financial Accounting System), eXert SCM (Supply Chain Management), and eXert HRM (Human Resource Management) modules across the Saudi operations.

Maiprosoft deployed a tailored suite of modules: eXert FAS (Financial Accounting System), eXert SCM (Supply Chain Management), eXert HRM (Human Resource Management), eXert ESS (Employee Self-Service), and eXert POS (Point of Sale). These modules collectively replaced siloed systems and brought end-to-end digitization to the client’s business processes. With the Financial Accounting System, the finance team gained real-time control over VAT compliance, automated invoicing, budgeting, and audit readiness. The Supply Chain module offered real-time stock synchronization across retail branches, ensuring medicine availability while minimizing wastage through expiry tracking and batch management.
The HRM and ESS modules simplified internal operations by automating payroll, attendance, and employee lifecycle management, fully compliant with Saudi labor regulations and GOSI integration. At the pharmacy counter, the eXert POS solution introduced faster billing, seamless stock sync with the central system, and an integrated customer loyalty framework — all contributing to improved customer experience.
The implementation took place entirely in Riyadh, with localized support from Maiprosoft’s Saudi-based team — ensuring cultural familiarity, regulatory alignment, and smooth user onboarding. Training sessions, data migration from legacy systems, and post-go-live support were all delivered on-site, creating a seamless transformation journey.
As a result of this implementation, inventory losses were reduced by 40% through automated procurement and expiry alerts. Checkout times dropped by over 60%, enhancing the customer experience significantly. HR teams saved countless hours in administrative processing, while finance gained better clarity and control through detailed dashboards and real-time reporting.
